Hello and Doughnuts

Why am I writing about doughnuts?   Why not?   I have loved doughnuts since I was a child. I remember visiting my aunt in The Bronx and somehow knowing that there was a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts close by and would beg and beg until she finally took me to get a Krispy Kreme doughnut. I could have eaten at least 6 of them in one sitting, but she only let me get one.

Now, I am 22 years old and can get a doughnut anytime I damn near please. But really, I love doughnuts… I like a lot of other things that aren’t very healthy for me either, but doughnuts take the cake.

I don’t know why I spell doughnuts the European way, just something that I have always done.

I’ll be posting about specialty doughnuts, doughnut shops and anything else that has to do with doughnuts really. Hope you enjoy the reads.. Feel free to leave some feedback!

  1. I’m an addict for doughnuts, especially those from local bodegas or Dunkin’ Donuts. Funny thing is, as much as I love donuts, I’ve never had a donut from Krispy Kreme. When I was little, my grand father would take me to a local bakery in Spanish Harlem. That was where I first discovered my love of vanilla sprinkled donuts ❤ I also enjoy Dunkin' Donut's glazed munchkins.

  2. This is absolutely awesome. I follow a lot of blogs that post mostly the same stuff throughout the day so this is a nice thing to see. I look forward to seeing your posts. I love Doughnuts! I also really miss real Krispy Kreme. Not Walmart, but actual Krispy Kreme. They used to be everywhere. I loved walking in and getting a fresh hot glazed one. They had they greatest chocolate glazed too, it was better than cake.

  3. Hey there! This is a very tempting and intriguing site! I am excited that there is a blog out there that is all about doughnuts, one of my own guilty pleasures. Even though a lot of Krispy Kreme shops are shutting down, hopefully your blog will keep the goodness alive!
